Asian International University (AIU) is located in Imphal, the capital city of Manipur. Established under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and operating under the Asian International University Act with authorisation from the Government of Manipur, AIU offers programmes across the undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and professional levels.
The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and holds ISO certification for its quality processes. Who Can Apply?
- Minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a relevant Master's degree is required for eligibility.

- Admission is subject to availability of a Guide/Supervisor in the candidate's chosen area of specialisation.
- The Synopsis and Thesis must be prepared and managed by the candidate, in consultation with the allotted guide.
- 3 to 4 in-person visits to the University campus are mandatory during the course of the programme.
